    Time

    is running out.

In some number of billions of years, time would cease to be time altogether - and everything will stop.

"Then everything will be frozen, like a snapshot of one instant, forever," Prof Senovilla tells New Scientist magazine. "Our planet will be long gone by then."
Make sure you are doing something interesting when it stops. It would just be the luck of the billionth incarnation of xoggoth to be cleaning the oil fired central heating or having tea at the in-laws.

Maybe we wouldn't notice since speed increases linearly with time.

[Velocity = dx/dt, so as delta t tends to zero, speed approaches infinity]

Basically things will speed up as they slow down.
