    Shoes

    'ello all.

New Year, New Contract, therefore a new pair of shoes required.

Can anyone recommend a good place for decent mens leather shoes? I want some that are going to last and must have leather soles and not the carp rubber ones you seem to get these days.

    thanks!

Personally I go for Next or Pod.

Really super comfy meaning I can use them both in the office and when not in work - saves a lot of packing for when I am overnighting it!

Any decent cobbler will knock you up a pair of made to measure for around £130 +. you will not get a more comfortable shoe

        Example:

thanks fellas. People have already suggested Oliver Sweeney and Jeffrey West but they're a bit on the pricey side at £200+

I have a look in Jones and other brands suggested.

If they're too pricey then I'd suggest a pair of Barker's starting around £120, available from any decent dept store, like John Lewis. That said, you get what you pay for, and with shoes, that's particularly true - don't skimp on a decent pair. Looked after properly, they'll last for ages.

                  Clarke's Commandos...that's all you'll ever need.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

My Mum told me years ago the following... Spend good money on both your shoes and your bed! - becasue if you are are not in one of them, then you are in the other !!!!!
