    Agent Scum

Scum: Hello I was just calling to see if you were in a contract

Me: Yes I am, I don't finish until May

Scum: Would you consider leaving your contract early

Me: No, I have committed to it

Scum: But if there was a really good opportunity would you consider it

Me: No, I have committed to it

Scum: Ok, your CV says you work as XYZ, do you still work there?

Me: Email me your contact details and when I am looking again I will send you my updated CV

    Scum: Ok.

So the "scumbag" as you call him simply rings up a contractor. Asks an entirely fair question, checks the question a second time and then goes on to check the information that he has is correct and you come on here bawling your eyes out.

The reason he probably didnt send you an email is probably because you are an obnoxious self important little pr*ck who he would rather not speak to again.

I have had that where some slimy contract PM was all over me like a rash when he was desperate for a contract (yes you Mr Austin). I didnt get him the contract at the client, but I put him in touch with the agency who did-for no personal gain, and when I called him a month later to see if he had any business, instead of politely declining decided to score points by being rude.

Mate, seriously, get over it already. You will get this a lot. Just think how satisfying his job must be, doing all that cold calling and talking out his arse....! Just play along, maybe drip feed a little info if you think the agency is one you'd like to talk to again and don't upset the little hair-gelled scamp.

Not emailing youngguy when he said he would.

Sounded like he might have had a juicy option to entice him with. Might have been worth calling his bluff on it rather than getting all moral and blustering on about commitment and loyalty without hearing what he had to say IMHO.

                  fishing for what exactly?

Did he ask for references?, did he ask for requirements? did he ask the name of his PM? did he write half the f***ing email in invisible ink?

Yes he did say he would email the guy, and yes he should have kept his word, but he was probably too polite to say

                  "f**k off you snivelling jerk"
