Yes, stats do not look good. I am trying to explain it away myself as either a seasonal trend that is slightly more pronounced than usual or a problem with the normalisation system in the site!

Even with that taken into account it does not look particularly good. March / April will be the really telling time I think, this is when budgets have been set and monies released - looking at the total demand for staff graph on the homepage there has been a healthy rise in demand at these times so if we do not see something similar this year then I will start to be concerned!

I have been keeping a log of stats from Jobserve for myself since 2000. Specifically, the number of IT roles in the UK per day.

This happens every year at this time - don't worry about it. The figures are now back to normal.

The week following Easter looks nearly as bad every year too - make a note in your diary.
