    Computer Futures refusing my Umbrella

    Hi there,

Computer Futures says that 'Contractor Umbrella' is not completely compliant with some regulations despite Contractor Umbrella making this statement...

    Any comments?

    Cheers, Ian.

Are they trying to force you to use one of theirs (not sure they have any) or their 'partner' umbrellas?

What did they say when you sent them that link?

I don't use a brolly (I have my own limited and use SJD) and I would hazard a guess that Computer Futures are in the wrong.

I would make Contractor Umbrella aware of it and see what they have to say.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

Haven't heard back yet. They have sent me a list of approved Umbrellas. I picked the one at the top of the list and the phone operator is giving me the hard sell on claiming expenses for travel and lunch.

Presumably you asked Computer Futures what their commission was from each of the prefered umbrellas?

Tell them you dont want the contract.
