    Google AdSense & PPC

    Does it really work?
i.e. can you make good money by setting up websites to capture traffic in the hope users will click on the Google ad's?

Classic examples are when the iPhone was released there were a whole host of sites that sprang up with no more info on them than was in the Apple press release. No sign of them now.

With anyone being able to do it, are there enough mugs on the planet who will click the ad's to generate the $'s?

      Been looking into this meself.

Lots of success stories via affiliate marketing lead me to believe that it is a scam, however if you don't hand over any money to anyone it could be worth a go.

Like you though, I can't see how creating a thousand Wordpress blogs with 'Google Ads' littered everywhere could ever generate anything!

Maybe worth experimenting with a few and see how it pans.

Adsense/Adwords arbitrage was popular about 9 months ago or so until Goog had to do something about it.

The trick is to find lower paying keywords to bid on and try and optimise your pages (using on-page SEO and other tricks) for higher paying keywords.

I first read about this concept in "The Rich Jerk" but instead of using Adwords to drive the traffic you'd use lower cost PPC networks like Miva and Enhance.

I tried it a bit but it's not really that profitable and you need to have a real MFA (made for Adsense) site which is not good - basically a site loaded with Adsense that is so poor that visitors will just click on any link to get off the site and find something useful.

Adsense is not something to be relied on as a business model because Google can just ban your account and you're up tulip creek. I use it a bit on some of my sites but very sparingly, it makes me a couple of hundred dollars a month but really is only a nice extra. My focus is on affiliate programs and my own products which I am getting developed now.

If you want a good ROI from Adwords your best bet is to squeeze their name and email address, follow up with some mailings promoting a product (either your own or an affiliate offer), then find more backend products/services to promote.

It's not cool to bombard your list with offer after offer or they will just unsubscribe, about every 4th mailing is good to pitch something. So what about the 3 in between?

Send them to an intersting article or blog post and load it up with......... Adsense!

AdSense + SEO optimised site is flavour of the day - free traffic from search engine and money from clicks.

That's what SKA v2 helps to achieve

Instead of populating the Internet with meaningless junk for clicks, why don't people create something meaningful? They'll have contributed to civilisation they'll feel better in themselves.

I much prefer affiliate commissions, I would never rely on Asense clicks, at least when you sell your own and other people's products you can't suddenly get an email saying your account has been suspended due to suspected click fraud

Adsense is referred to as 'Madsense' in the Internet marketing world for exactly this reason.

Yeah you can make a bit of 'easy money' from it but nothing like what the get rich quick peddlers promise, you need to have thousands of visitors a day doing lots of clicks and you have to really optimise your pages for maximum click through rate which means stuffing huge blocks of ads in people's faces and making the content as uncompelling as possible so they find the ads more interesting.

You also have to target the high paying keywords which are also the most competitive so you'll be up against lots of other people including the guru who write the get rich quick ebook teaching you how to do it - and all his mates.

Just imagine doing all that, doing all the SEO then Google banning your account after you've quit the day job and bought your big expensive house.

Adsense is for numpties who can't be bothered to learn about Internet marketing and think that get rich quick really exists.

If you have free traffic from search engines then you can always monetise it even without adsense - the problem is to get cheap quality traffic.
