      It's all a con - they put the rumour around that they've split up to get more people going to see them in the hope she really will hit him.

      She will have problems convincing a jury she's innocent if she does accidentally hit him

      I wouldn't get away with firing a crossbow at my ex - but then I wouldn't be aiming to miss anyway.
