    Advice Please

Dear all - I hope you can help...

I've just this minute received a text message from a pimp. It reads:

"Hi cojak, saw your CV on Jobserve. what is the minimum rate you want for a good contract job? Pls text rate to XXX..."

    How should I reply?

What skillset are you looking for? What Sector? Which location?

If they are REALLY pushy on rate just say market.

I was hoping for more imaginative replies...

Anyway - I went with 'it depends on the role'...

        Silence since then..

So much for barrow boys wanting to know market rates...

You need to go into politician mode :-). i.e. don't answer the question. Lots of blah blah about quality of work, location, work pressure etc etc, and then quote a fairly wide range.
            I'm alright Jack

Well, do as he asks, text rate to XXX. I might be minded to put it in uppercase: RATE.

Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

                  I preferred version 1!
