    Best Business Bank Account

I know it must have been discussed on here already, but i can't see anything when I search. Can you fellas/ladies suggest a good business account they use and what's good about it?

The two other contractors at my place use CaterAllen and A&L.

Cater Allen is Abbey. I have been with Abbey since I set up over 5 years ago. They advertise (or did) that the account will be free of charges as long as you have the account open and in credit. I have the "normal" business account and the "reserve" account where I keep most of the money as it pays higher interest. All the day to day banking is done on the web. I have never had to contact them over anything, so my banking has been 100% web based except for the monthly statements I get by post. The website could do with an update but apart from that I have no complaints to make. And it costs nowt.

Another vote here for Cater Allen.
Couple of weeks to set up using form on CUK.
            Reasonable interest on balances.
Phoned them twice - quick and helpful answer each time.
            Website works.

I use Lloyds TSB. Chose them because I have a personal account with them, and transfers between the bus account and my personal account takes less than 24 hrs. I too hardly have any direct relationship with anyone there because everything is done online which is relatively easy to use. I get free banking, but no interest.

I think I read that the Bank of Scotland has the highest interest also with free banking, but you have to open with £10k and BoS customer service record is questionable!
