    To contract or not contract

Working through the contract with a client. yesterday they ask me for a basic contract. I don't really have one and I work off Proforma's mainly now, so they go looking for one.
Today they decide to go through an agency, I ask if I can still supply a contract - they say "okay".
So I make up the contract from some advice and send it on. Five minutes later the client phones and says they'd rather go through the agency. Because.....they have a new iProcurement system and if I don't use the agency, then id have to deal with purchase orders and such. sigh.

This is the same company where I already have a direct contract - just to a different section. So can't figure out why they don't don't make an amendment...but then it gets complicated with budgets and transfers of funny money. So no go on that either.

Oh well...I need the money so will just have to put up with it. But I hate being messed around.

At least I can do all the work in my office. yay!
