    Had permie interview today....

They can't understand why I don't seem excited at the permie paperwork and personal development crepe that they insist on inflicting to people.

This is DEFO plan B - going to do what I can to get a good contract by the end of the current contract.

It really is a different world.

Even got an application form to complete!

Really losing the will to live now..... This predicted downturn in the economy had better not happen.

Surely that is done before you get the interview?

Same place as existing contract - not renewing, contracting is the only way to stay. Not sure why as 56 miles away, but they are allowing me to do 7:30 to 3:30 to avoid the traffic.

The things we do for work!

Yes, this was the HR aspect of it.

Plan is to get a good local long term contract, but the chances of that are slim - would rather stay at current gig than have to work away.

This game is fine if flexible on location, but not for a home bird.
