Can't see how that would work if those people choose to kill themselves in the first place.

A better way would be to prove there is no heaven, no hell -- this would cut down on their motivations right away.

I think this is irrelevant to some of the radical movements in Islam -- I know that this sort of approach was used a number of times and clealy it failed.
