Call to show car 'lifetime price'

The report says a 4.4 litre petrol Range Rover, driven 12,000 miles a year for 10 years, would cost more than £35,000 in petrol and vehicle excise duty.

Another family car - a diesel Peugeot 307 - would cost around £11,000.

New labeling to show how much money people could save by having a more efficient car. Which raises the question why do people buy luxury motors? I'd have thought the first priority wasn't to save cash!
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

This shows that owning a really nice powerful comfortable luxurious V8 4x4 costs £2K pa more than running a sad uncomfortable little smelly noisy diesel hatch.

      Bargain I'd say.

I buy luxury cars as a girlfriend substitute. All that leather. The throb of a big engine. Polishing the bodywork for hours each weekend. The tactility of the knobs and buttons. The feel of the chrome and leather gearknob as I ram it home.

If I didn't know better I'd think I was gay.
Feist - 1234. One camera, one take, no editing. Superb. How they did it

Some sexual psychology prof. did a study years ago about motorbikes (and all the lifestyle and paraphernalia that go with them) and concluded that most bike freaks were repressed homosexuals.

          Go figure!
