Looking for home & buildings insurance; LV came across dirt cheap.

Anyone had any dealings with them?

I'm with them. But I've never made a claim.

They were very cheap when I looked too.

Yeah I was with them and had to make a claim, when the assessor turned up he was wearing a Lacoste Tracksuit and trainers, and kept telling me to 'calm down..calm down'

        Try Sainsbury's.

I managed to reduce my household insurance and contents from 270 pounds to 158 pounds. This gives me 44,000 contents and unlimited buildings cover. I opted for an excess of 250 pounds to achieve this. I've shopped around quite a bit over the years and that is by far the best home and contents deal I have ever had.

Years ago I went to an interview for a permie job with them.

          Didn't get it though.

            Yes.

Had my car insured through them several years ago.

Cheap quote and very good UK customer service.

No experience of making a claim though.

Sainsburys are just a front for Churchill insurance amongst others, i.e you are paying them commision.
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”
