Lottery winner goes back to flipping burgers

A British lottery winner has gone back to his old job serving burgers at McDonald's.

Twenty-five-year-old Luke Pittard shared a 1.3 million pound ($A2.85 million) jackpot with his girlfriend 18 months ago.

After taking a break, he's gone back to his part-time job where he earns 87 pounds ($A192.40) for 15 hours' work.

Pittard says he's only young and a bit of hard work never did anyone any harm.

    What a tosser.

    I don't agree he is a tosser.

Quite a few lottery winners go back to work particularly if they are doing charity work, or start up their own businesses.

I think he lacks ambition and vision.

You obviously didn't win enough to retire.

What did you invest it in?

I've invested my lottery winnings in alcohol.

Alcohol and pringles blew the lot
