    I am appalled at the foul language used in that article. "Knut mania" and "fishing for carp", etc. Still knut and carp is what life is all about.

        Apparently that Knut is a bad-ass even by bear standards, because he was spoiled rotten as a cub.

        A while ago he would howl and roar each day for hours after the zoo closed, because he loved the attention and hated the crowds leaving. I think he's grown out of that at least.

        But isn't catching and killing fish a natural thing for bears to do? That's what wild bears do with salmon.

          I doubt a few carp will stop them getting bored - they can roam 40 miles in a day. They should just have opened the cages and let them have some fun.
