    I hope this catches on

One of my local pubs has banned our local MP and a number of others have banned Darling in protest at tax hikes on beer and the smoking ban.

What a good idea. I wonder what would happen if every pub banned every NL MP. Doesnt just have to be pubs does it.

I'd like to see the ban widened to all walks of life.

"No politicians welcome" would be a fantastic sign on every business, shop, etc.

ps..have you noticed that a higher than average number of publicans looks very similar to Al Murray ?
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
