    Great permie offer

Just had a very nice chap from a recruitment agent tell me (at great length before I had a chance to speak) of a cracking VB6 permie developer job paying up to £35K.

When I told him I worked mostly from home and earned that in less than 5 months, he sounded a bit fed up. Bless him.

Next year you'll look back at this as the best offer you ever had ...
    Hard Brexit now!

None of the best offers I have had... had anything to do with work or contracting....

I hope you passed it on to Wilmslow as you dont seem interested.

He'll have to lower his aspirations for a mock-tudor house in the suburbs a little though. I think he might just manage a semi in Dewsbury Moor on £35K (there's one available now apparently).

Saw a Siebel developer/configurator role in Inverness advertised a couple of months ago, at £19K. Naturally they wanted a few other skills too.

I'd have stopped reading at inverness

That was the good bit for me. But the salary was practically indistinguishable from not working, which I'd prefer.

No, you get better pay at WHS.

Saw a developer contract on jobserve today offering £9/hour. Some mug will probably take it thinking it's ok money, driving the rates down.
Feist - 1234. One camera, one take, no editing. Superb. How they did it
