    Mitsubishi Evo X

Anyone considering or bought one of these?

Or should I stick to the plan and go for the Golf GTI...

Shouldn't we be asking you questions like this?

      Chalk and cheese.

Evo X is going to be much more expensive, more hardcore, much more powerful than the Golf.

It's like saying "Shall I get a Hyundai Coupe or a Lotus Exige?"

Good point. I've created a situation where whenever I ask a question I am told I should be able to ask myself

You understand my dilemma then. As soon as I've set my heart on something, something (potentially) much better comes along!

Have you owned a car with a bone crashing hard suspension on UK roads before? The novelty of these Jap supercars soon wears off when you realise a soft 4x4 is more suited to our rutted and neglected roads full of speed bumps and cameras.

Actually I was considering it more for weekend blasts around the hills when I get back to Oz...

Call me sad but I prefer this over the GTi

                  http://www.volvocars.com/uk/models/c...s/default.aspx

                  Petrol
                  C30 T5 (230 PS)

Starts at £19,995 on the road
Sporty five-cylinder 2.5 litre turbocharged petrol engine 320 Nm available from just 1500 revs 0 to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds Dual continuously variable valve timing Available with six-speed manual or five-speed Geartronic automatic transmission
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

Hmmm great from the front and side however it looks like a diving bell at the rear... what a shame.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson
