    working in the CI

I am about to take up a contract position in the Channels Islands and was wondering what the most tax efficient solution/options open to me.

Would it be better using my Ltd Company or working thru an umbrella company?

Any advise would be most welcome.

    Thanks!

Wow, good land. I've never met or heard of anyone getting a contract there.

I use montpelier - an offshore company. they are not for everyone - but as you are offshore anyway it make make sense in your case.

I would seek specialist advice. Due to recent changes in the law some CI no longer levy corporation tax for both non CI trading and CI trading companies. I believe Guernsey is a case in point.

The interaction of the DTA between CI and UK may be able to be advantageous. You do really need a specialist.

Do you work in the CI yourself?

I heard Montpelier are under investigation. Is this true?
