    Did any of you watch it last night with Brian Blessed. It was brilliant and Blessed was hysterical, completely dominating Paul Merton.

    I think that it just demonstrated the difference between actors that have to learn their lines, and presenters that have to read the auto-cue machine.

    I wouldn't have thought that the two disciplines were that different, but that show proved that they are.

      Yes, Brian Blessed was brilliant, and he's cogging on too - He played Augustus in I Claudius in the '70s.

      Did he ever make it to the summit of Everest? I know he had a damn good try.

        I usually agree with most of DA's posts (being a Telegraph reader who loves Maggie) - but in this case I disagree. I enjoyed the first 5 minutes - after that I found it a bit cringing.
