Sell in May and go away

Do not buy again until St Ledger day.

The old Stock Exchange proverb - will it hold true this year?

So far srock markets holding up amazingly well - all that money that was going to go into houses the last few months has been going into shares?

No doubt BB will find a way of raining on the parade.

This does not apply to shares anymore. It's good advice for the BTLers though.

Now waiting for bogeys next profanity. Come on Bogey, hope it's a good one

I am never profane old boy.

I am never a humourless dolt either.

its election time across the pond so all bets are off on this sell in may and go away thing, with there being a pretty good chance of a big summer rally, possibly maybe

Read: This is where the smart money is going. Who's money? Well it aint from retail investors as Joe Public is skint, up to his eye balls in debt and no longer allowed to binge borrow.

The slow down in the economy is down to the unwinding of debt, much of it recklessly doled out to dolts to splurge on unnecessaries and indulge in get rich quick, without work or effort schemes.

Blame New Lie. They have used this debt build up to give illusion of prosperity. It's all over now for them.

It’s not so much as markets fall, but liquidity dries up as all the main players are off doing things like going on holiday and attending the sport events. The St Ledger is towards the end of the flat racing season and the time that gentlemen return from the country to town.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

What's to disagree with this statement? Sounds right to me.
