    Learning to play guitar

Anyone done that here? More specifically I mean anyone learnt it at an age where you think you're too old to learn new things, i.e. low-to-mid 30s?

I learned when I was sixteen. Taught many people 30+ to play and most are still playing.

Your never too old. Good on yer mate.

Don't expect too much; but you can learn to strum a few chords. The guitar is a good instrument to be "ok" on.
            I'm alright Jack

I bought a really nice guitar in a charity shop, but haven't learned to play it or even touched it since.

                  (ditto a nice violin)

You can certianly learn to play it at any age. It all depends what you expect, if you want to become Joe Satriani in 3 months that isn't going to happen. If you want to be able to play a few songs and bits of easy solos then yes.

The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”
