Property bargains to be had - 15% down

The biggest casualties of the slump in the housing market are sellers of £1million homes, estate agents said yesterday.

Since last September their value has fallen by up to 15 per cent, according to Hamptons.

This time next year rodders, one of them "million pound" pads will be mine.

The most expensive house in Swindon is £175K, so I might have to go as far as Wootton Bassett.

Living near the south coast/south downs?

what's the south like between Southampton and Brighton?

Are the A roads (A3, A286, A29) any good for getting into the M25 zone?

Thinking of moving nearer the sea and also within driving distance of the M25.

              South downs and all that?

Any good for a rural idyll but still within about an hours drive/train to greater London?

                  Worthing, Bognor, Shoreham, Portsmouth.

Basically rubbish. And the road is rubbish too.

What about further away from the coastal towns in the little villages on the south downs?
