Can I count my contracting time in my length of service for redundancy payment?

Hi, I contracted in IT via an agency for almost 2 years continuously prior to being taken on permanently at my current company. I have been permanent now for 2 years and possibly facing redundancy soon.

I was PAYE, not self-emplyed and i had similar terms and conds as perms during that time eg 4 wks paid holiday per year and the role continued exactly the same when i became perm (no breaks in between the temp and perm positions).

My question is could i claim this contracting term in my 'length of service' for the purposes of redundancy payment?

    Thanks

Working...
