What good would that be? You'll need to be fit, hard and be able to grow your own vegetables in the new world order.

Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

What a load of generically written drivel this article is.

Still, today has been the dullest day ever on CUK, and so your post still stands out as worthy of my response.

This may mean I have to dig my lawn up & plant potatos.... all 50 yards of it...

My back is aching in anticipation...

There was a time when all the back gardens around were dug over & planted each year... now there's only my dad and a chap at the other end of the road who bother...

And they're both gone now, first my Dad, and then the ex-miner named Don.

I have a small garden and killer squirrels. I'm trying mutate them to them black ones.

                  Strategic Steam Reserve!

Anybody else hear the programme on Saturday about the mythical 1960's Strategic Steam Reserve? After global financial meltdown, no electricity or diesel to power trains etc, could be the only way to travel

That article sounded more like a correction than a collapse.
