    Redundancies at 'seven-year high'

    More UK bosses are being made redundant than at any time in the past seven years, according to a new report.

    Diesel prices saw their biggest monthly increase in a decade in May, says motoring group the AA.

    The average price of diesel between mid-April and mid-May increased 6.76 pence, or 5.7%, to 124.17p a litre.

    The glove puppet failed to make an impression in the public vote despite his country's history in the contest, which it has won a record seven times.
