Why don't car manufacturers build new cars to run on LPG & Petrol?

Would be a simple thing to build this into new models no?

I'd guess it's because they put themselves at the mercy of Mr Broon raising duty on LPG to bring it more in line with petrol if it caught on and being stuck with a load of cars they can't sell.

Ford Vauxhall Volvo and Citroen (at least) have offered factory LPG models in the past - my guess is they weren't popular enough.

Why did people not buy them?
Why do people not get their cars converted?
Dim Prawn, have you had your car converted, and if not, why not?

A Bugatti Veyron with an LPG conversion just wouldn't be right.

If I drove a big petrol 4x4 that I was going to keep for yrs and did tons of miles in I would.
