    question posed at clientco

if you were buying a present for a lady who is a bit(or alot) overweight, would you consider chocolates as an option?

serious question - a chap near me having alot of angst.

last time I went on a date (the current gf) I bought her a book on one of her interests I had gleaned from an email - I said "don't you think chocolates and flowers are so trite" - I do hope it made me sound like a modern man in touch with my feelings and not desperate for a portion.

If she's not on diet, then yeah, I would (because she obviously like them)..

Why not, she could always share them with her mum if she's on a diet.
      Its the thought that counts.

I get her a size 8 dress, to give her something to aim for.

Should give it to Victoria Beckham. When she can fit she would not be quite so minging.

            On second thoughts...
