my driving licence. It isn't in the usual box file. If anyone knows where it is, please let me know.

Lots of people say you lot are useless but I tell them that one of you will know.

      Dear Xog,

Your Driving License will be in the "Last Place You Look".

Just like everything else that goes missing.

Alternatively, since the only time we tend to need Driving Licences for ID is at Blockbusters, Banks, or Brothels, I would suggest starting your search there.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

It'll be in one of your pockets probably.

We spell it "licence" in this country - take a look at it if you don't believe me.

Ooops...I always mispell that one. Sorry.

Ok. I've had a thought about this on a psychological level.

The thing this, dear Xog, you DO know where it is. At least, your subconcious does. But the subconcious is a devious wee beasty and likes to keep secrets from the concious.

Therefore, what you need to do is try the BGG-patented "Vodka Retrieval Technique".

                This involves the following.

                1. Blank sheet of paper.
                2. Writing implement.
                3. One or more bottles of Vodka (or other suitable alcoholic beverage).

                Technique :

                a) Write on the blank sheet of paper "Where did I lose my fecking licence ?"
                b) Place the sheet of paper under your bed pillow.
                c) Consume enough of the Vodka until you almost pass out.
                d) Quickly re-read the sheet of paper again.
                e) Pass out.

When you awake in the morning, either at home or in the hospital, you will have the mother of all hangovers, but you will instantly recall the location of the missing licence.

You don't have a license, that's why you can't find it.
I've seen much of the rest of the world. It is brutal and cruel and dark, Rome is the light.

You sent it back ages ago to get that expired endorsement removed and they haven't returned it yet.
