          Imperial measurements are okay as long as you don't need to do anything with them. I still say I'm 6'2", but if I wanted to do any calculations I would convert to metric before you could say light-furlong. I hate the way they quote big altitudes in feet though, because you often want to have a rough idea what height that is or do something with it.

              In general all cultural and religious differences such as measurements, language, currency should be standardized to one. Less confusion more productivity.
