    Graphic Novels

A computer contractor forum without a graphic novels thread?

Apart from classics like The Watchmen, Sin City, From Hell etc what are your particular favourites?

Other stuff I've read and thought excellent were The Preacher and Gloomcookie. Any others worth a read?
...my quagmire of greed....my cesspit of laziness and unfairness....all I am doing is sticking two fingers up at nurses, doctors and other hard working employed professionals...

Never read any of those. I did just read the 'Grapes of Wrath' for the first time though. It remains relevant given the current economic situation.

If that's true, we're in bigger trouble than I thought.

I find the thought of grown men reading comics slightly disturbing. That and the fact that it brings to mind the comic store owner from the Simpsons...

I lived in Japan for a couple of years, and it was a common occurance to sit on the tube next to a besuited business type, who was openly engrossed in a hardcore pornographic manga/graphic novel. No-one batted an eyelid, but I never quite got used to it.
