    Birthday present

Right, it was my dad's birthday yesterday, and I'm seeing him tomorrow. I have two hours to think of something to get him before I go out at lunchtime.

You lot are clever, original, thoughtful, with a good sense of humour, right? Any suggestions?

What kind of things does he like?

      Books, magazines, music.

Does he prefer experiences to 'things'?

A nice travel shaving kit with silver razor and a nice brush.

Digital photo frame (with appropriate nostalgic piccies stored thereon)?

Sorry, naturally, you are all that too.

Cheap and cheerful is probably better, unless it's a really good idea!

The Talisker 8 year old would show how much you care or the Ben Wyvis if you are feeling flush. Old Fettercairn and Highland Park do some nice old ones too.

I am not qualified to give the above advice!

Good call - was going to suggest a good bottle of whiskey.
