What is the best (& legal) way to write out a job spec to a 3rd party supplier to make sure you don't end up with a team of cheap as chips b'dings? I don't mind UK born of Indian origin as they tend to be quite good

I thought along the lines of:

UK born - but this is probaly illegal in the EEC
    Native English speaker
Holds a full UK driving licence

    any others?

Seemed to work for the chap that won the Apprentice.

However, my old elocution teacher would disagree. The chap seemed barely able to construct a grammatically correct sentence, and spoke with this all-to-common "Estuary English" or whatever it is.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Why would you want to? The all knowing nuLieBore regime has told us that there is nobody in the UK who has the skills you require. The best software engineers in the world come from India. Any problems you have with communication are purely your own fault. You need to provide yourself with cultural awareness skills. It is my duty and an honour to report you to the authorities.

Alternatively, you could make a donation to the party and then you can do whatever you like.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.
