"The Canadians want GPs, teachers, nurses, electricians, carpenters, engineers, construction workers, management consultants, and cardiac and diabetic specialists."

    What about technology?

I got enough points despite saying I didn't know French, and could probably lie about that.

You could always get a killer haircut, holiday there and marry a Canadian, though this approach is probably more suited to unmarried people.

              1. Are you presuming a job offer? Doesn't that mean going permie, and AIUI not being very well paid?

              2. Nosy question: do you get all those points for being educated and having an educated partner, or for great French?

No, seriously, I get 65 with no job offer, and there's the rub. At my age, I can't afford to earn just enough to live on, I've got to save/invest. I need to keep contracting, not get a job.

                69 dudes.

Though that's with no job offer and you get another 10 for that.

I am not qualified to give the above advice!
