Car Tax Chaos at Post Office #@&#$£~#

Car Tax Chaos at the post office every end or beginning of the month because the Idiot brigade leave it til the last possible moment to tax their cars.
I just went to send off a parcel and the queue is around the block with all the drooling Idiots clutching their car tax renewal forms.

Does it need to be explained to them (Punctuated with slaps) that they can renew a month before?

Are they all illiterate and can't read the damned renewal form?

in this age of technology isn't it strange that you have to queue at the post office to renew your car tax ?

on the mainland you can by motorway vignettes at petrol stations

    not rocket science is it

probably the queue is magnified because of closing all the post offices

    Milan.

      Milan.
That might be why you've been able to renew them online for over a year.

you can also do it online.

I, and a fair few others, put a lot of effort in creating that new V5 and the online portal.
I didn't say it was your ******* fault, I said I was blaming you!

And very well it works too. Can we assume that EDS, Accenture et al were kept well away from the project?

Yes, but you didn't explain it to the drooling idiot brigade, did you?

It does tend to fall over around the 15th of the month but then is soon online again.

It does suffer from a minor flaw, which has nothing to do with the technology.

When you buy a car and have to sort out the tax/insurance then they don't have an electronic record of your insurance (it takes them up to a couploe of weeks to get it on the DB) so you tend not to be able to use it for the first tax disc.
