    Anyone want some chillies?

I bought a pack of chilli seeds in March, and planted them all only expecting a few to sprout.

Only problem being they all did. I now have a window sill with about twenty chilli plants on it and the chillies are just starting to appear. Can I freeze them once they're ready to be picked?

I think they can be dried. Could find a use for spare chillis...

Have you thought about drying them?

Wouldn't mind a few chillies - or a plant so I can splice it into more of them - I have a surfeit of Basil to exchange.

Freezing is better, drying is a pain and it's hard to protect them from dust etc

You can preserve chillies in several ways, it appears

I won't bother saying JFGI - oops, I just did

Do I just leave them out to shrivel up? Or is there a technique to it?

I also thought about putting some of them in olive oil and making chilli oil.
