    Living on guernsey

Apart from the tax advantages, me and the mrs are both considering the idea - after a recent trip to one of the neighbouring islands and the sunshine we're both quite keen on the idea now. She likes gardening I like sailing, I think it's a win win situation - open market houses seem to be same price as in this city, so what's against it?

Isn't there some sort of requirement to have a certain amount of reasonably liquid assets available (ie not property) before you can become a resident.

Other than that, it's a pretty small rock to be stuck on.

Don't you need to be a descendent or relative of a local to be allowed to live and work there?

Can't imagine there are good transport links and god it must feel small and isolated on a tiny rock.

No. Open market houses are available to anyone.
