take the perm or short term contract.

i am in the posistion of having 2 offers on the table.

    A) perm role which does not intrest me much but is a way back into employment paying 8k less than what i was on in my last job.

    b)contract paying 22 p/h but only 3 months

more money or job for a while while looking for something better.

You don't sound like you are exactly a contracting hot-shot with rare skills and a bright future at the top end of the game.

Therefore, given the impending economic armageddon approaching the UK, take the perm option.

This will be the wrong answer but - take the contract. If the perm job does not interest before you start it really isn't going to get any better.
Been there, done that and it was f-ing awful

            Good luck!

Go permatazoa for the next 18 months, use that time to learn some of the next lot of "in demand skills". Then you'll soon claw back what you lost the prior 18 months. HTH.

confirmed the perm role , at least it will be easy enough to retrain whilst earning a few beer tokens for doing not much work and it`s close to home.
