    Satan....

"... is generally viewed as a supernatural entity who is the central embodiment of evil. Satan is also commonly known as the Devil (Latin diabolus, diaboli), the "Prince of Darkness." From wikipedia - Just thought I would share that.

Satan did not kill nobody on this planet, yet the Church, acting on behalf of God, is responsible for deaths of millions.

How do you square that Chico? Maybe Satan is the Church?

Satan will eventually be exposed as the liar and deceiver of the world. The source of all evil not some not most but all evil. - Now you know.

I don't know... The home-made chilli sauce that Castle Donington Fish Bar put on their large 3-mix kebabs is often responsible for the majority of the evil I encounter on a Sunday morning

The devil was invented as someone to blame by people who won't take responsibility for their own actions. The biggest lie and deception is that we are told he exists.

wendigo: Incorrect, originally he was thought of as being the opposing viewpoint to the correct action to take. The human still made the decision. Then he became a character in some form.

That is the point of this Satan character; you are not forced to do something, you make the decision of your own free will.
Insanity: repeating the same actions, but expecting different results.

Chico, have some decency to answer direct question -- when the Church burnt the supposed witches or anybody who was falsely accused of being against it (see Inquisition years in Spain), was the Church acting on behalf of God or Satan?

Or perhaps they were just a bunch of humans who used false religion to maintain control over the uneducated plebs?
