            £1.00 per hour x 30% = VW Passat

What's the usual real-life conversion of rate to salary, 1.00/h = 1,000/y? Well, McDonalds pay a 22-year-old graduate trainee 24k. I've seen agencies with the nerve to post contract requiring experience for less than the equivalent 24.00/h.
