    Unreasonable behaviour from an ex...

Mate has divorced his missus after she had an affair with a mate. Child involved. Mate living in the house they both own. Ex refused to drop price a little a few months back against mate and estate agents advice. Hence Ex now seems very panicky about selling quick seeing prices fall, not rise, and still paying half the mortgage.

Ex has since left work and is being looked after financially by the ex mate.

Mate spent a weekend away down south, agreed that ex could collect the dining table (present from ex's folks to both, but, she is claiming it back).

When mate arrived home, he found pictures and furniture moved around and she also took his laptop out of a leather case which she has taken. Also took the dvd player. Ex knows dvd's and laptop are important to mate.

To me, appears that ex is using mind games to make mate feel violated in his own home. (Only he lives there with his daughter when he has her, although they both pay mortgage etc until it is sold).

Mate cannot lower price as negative equity - ex will have to put up and continue to pay up.

Given that ex has moved furniture and pictures, and, taken more than was agreed, can mate have any legal support in banning her from the house unescorted? Technically they both have equal rights as they both own, although only mate living there.

Ex also brought a yucky table in place of the really nice dining table and expected mate to pay £50 for it. Needless to say, mate told ex to stuff it.

I count four different personalities in this little fantasy world Wilmslow has created, and that's not including the one we know as "Wilmslow".

On what days do you wear the dress?
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

Wilmslow - this has convinced me more than ever you are a troll. There is something that does not scan about this story. It is a very very unusual arrangement you outline. How often does your friend see his child? Where does he see the child? where does he live the rest of the time?

Tell him to call Police and have her arrested for theft.
Failing that, Tell him to buy a large quantity of cocaine. plant it on her with a replica gun; next time she visits. Then, as she leaves, call the drug squad and tell them she is a major dealer, and she's carrying.
Confusion is a natural state of being

I'm with BP on this. He's a troll and it's getting tiresome. We really don't need to encourage him/her anymore.

This is a board for contractors, not dosey fictional walter mitty style permies.

I've always thought it interesting that James Thurber needed about 2000 words to tell the original story The Secret Life of Walter Mitty - Hollywood needed Danny Kaye and nearly 110 minutes to try to do the same thing, and still failed disgracefully.

Apparently a "remake" is due in a year or two. God preserve us
