If I ever spend time in the middle lane, its because the inside lane drivers are going to slow, so I want to overtake them and the outside lane is going faster than me.

Rather than dipping in and out of the inside lane, I stay in the middle lane, going into the outside as needed to overtake slow middle laners

It is because I drive a Mercedes and I want people so see how good it looks from both sides.
