    I don't mean to be picky or pedantic, but...

    How can the worlds oldest man have died at 138 years old.
    Surely he was the worlds oldest man up till yesterday morning, but he isn't now.

    That title now belongs to someone else, who isn't yet a stiff

      You might be thinking of the worlds oldest living man. That chap might still be the oldest man that ever lived.
