... and there is a big difference to the Northern Rock scenario because they had two potential buyers in Branson and the Management team. HMG decided to nationalise in order to reap rewards for the taxpayer, as Darling foolishly publicly admitted, rather than allowing the company to continue trading privately at a profit.
This is why shareholders are due compensation, and yet another reason why New Lie are doomed because of their unfailing incompetence.
