    It begins

I updated my cv and changed my profile to "available" on CWJobs last night for the first time in 2 years, and I've already had two agents contact me about permanent jobs.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

Take one of them, Contracting will soon be a thing of the past

Problem is that by switching your status back to 'unavailable', it still gets flagged up by the agencies as an updated CV so they will contact you again. I pointed this out to a few pimps last time and they explained that the 'availability' status wasn't passed to them. Utter tulipe!

          As that article is?

Anyway, I don't care about the contracting market, only about my contracting. I'm currently on my highest rate ever, and keep getting calls. (And don't have a written contract yet)

            It was always so...

IT consultants at the very top end of the market, particularly those with business acumen, will be immune, however, and can expect to be chased by high-value propositions from rivalling businesses.
