    Plan B in a recession

Clearly the first thing to do in the event of a UK recession is go and find a gig in continental Europe, given that the OECD say the UK will be the only European economy in recession (Thanks Gordo!). Failing that, here's a link to an article in the Telegraph about hot jobs in a recession. To summarise though:

    Hot jobs in recession Britain:

    Credit controllers

    Energy efficiency engineers.

    Accountants

    Tax managers

Public sector work including supply teachers, nurses, social housing workers and careworkers.

    Five jobs on the slide:

    Administrative and clerical support roles.

    Builders and labourers

    Surveyors and architects

    City traders and investment bankers

    Lower-skilled IT workers
    Older and ...well, just older!!

A move away from people who do and make things in favour of vultures and parasites.

What we need is a B-ark.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.
