    Broadband on Mobile Phone

I have a N95 8GB phone on a 3 network.Planning to ditch BT broadband and go mobile internet.I can think of 2 options:

    1) Go for the 3 USB dongle thingie(eigher as PAYG or on a contract)
    2) Add a 3GB dataplan to the existing mobile contract.

My question is if i went for option2 then will it be as good as option1 in terms of speed, reliability, signal strength etc as I will be using the phone as the modem...

Any ideas from anyone using it?

I have been using my nokias (n73 and now e71) on three as modems for about 2 years - no major probs - havent tried the dongle though so don't know if it would be better

For those that do have an idea, which of the 3 dongles is the best to get as they mostly look similar?

Cheers!...Can we enable the data plan and disable it any time we like or is there a lock in period?
and how is the speed...whats the realistic speed can we expect from 3?
