    Who's next..ask paddy power

Libby Purves in todays Times could have predicted that EXEL was going bust days ago by looking up the odds on Paddy Power:

As for me I am taking a £1 million bet that some tinpot recruitment agency based in a backwater of West london will go t*ts up.

Or I quite fancy the £1000-1 odds on "airforce one" going in to chapter 11

As an aside to this - why didn't all of these "stranded" holiday makers have Travel Insurance? Or doesn't it pay out in the event of Airline collapse?

      No need to ask Paddy.

Most(if not all) will get their money back. Its the organizing of flights that is diffficult.

I see the CAA organized some planes - why not use the XL ones? Or is that what the CAA did?

You can get 16-1 on the Snot Goblin not winning his seat at the next general election.

Can't get odd on there actually being an election though. I still think he will do something evil using the Civil Contingencies Act.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

If you know what Air force one is then you may appreciate the cheek/irony in offering odds on it going bust

Am working at Manchester Airport at moment....saw a few lonely looking XL planes parked over by staff car park this morning.

Might make an offer...will reduce commute time substantially.
