Time for a drastic cut

Ok – just come back from lunch with a group of ex-colleagues (all contractors) from a previous contract.

The test manager who is a couple of years older then me, but has been contracting for 20 years, has taken some drastic action which she felt has helped her finding a role.

Not only has she streamlined her past experience on her CV, she has had plastic surgery (boob-job and face lift) – I must admit it has taken about ten years off her.

Now I know I said I would take a 'cut' to secure a decent role but I don’t think I will take it that far
